City Park wins Building Performance Award at MIPIM

City Park, Glasgow, recently adapted and refurbished by Scottish practice Cooper Cromar for the Elphinstone Group, picked up the BPA Placemaking Award at MIPIM in Cannes last week.

Commenting, Ruth Slavid, AJ Editor, online and Special Projects said:
“This is a project that has been completed successfully at a level that is appropriate to its setting. While the restoration of the historic fabric has been nothing short of impeccable, the rest of the sit-out and recladding is serviceable rather than top of the range -which is doubtless a wise decision taken with regard to the level of rents that the project could attract.”.

Cooper Cromar, who recently won the Architectural Practice Award for Excellence, has adapted the existing building to provide 300,000 sq.ft. of flexible, attractive and cost effective office space, City Park in one building, provides a first class working environment, has its own Business Village with 400 seater restaurant, a 24 hr gym, a shop and ATM. Technical and power solutions are robust and resilient with four fibre providers, up to 6 MVA of power. Parking for 500 cars is available, 250 of which are in the lower ground floor of the building.

Held annually, the MIPIM Awards reward the best international real estate projects from the past year.
